Outlook Calendar

With Outlook Calendar, you can view and search appointments in your own calendar. With the write action enabled by the administrator, you can also create and modify appointments.

Requirements and enabling

Your organization must have made the integration available and your Microsoft work account must have access to the relevant data. Choose an available AI model that can use tools; OpenAI is not mandatory.

Open profile → Preferences → Tools → Connections, enable Outlook Calendar, and complete the Microsoft sign-in if necessary. Follow the full steps in Enabling Microsoft integrations. Your choice also applies to new chats and other devices.

Available features

CapabilityCondition and operation
ReadingView appointments in a time period and request details.
WritingCreate appointments and modify fields of existing appointments; only with admin right Writing.

The administrator determines the write rights. You use the same personal integration toggle for reading and allowed write actions. Writing only works when the environment is technically enabled for it.

Examples

  • “What is on my calendar tomorrow?”
  • “Create an appointment on November 12, 2026, from 14:00 to 14:30 Europe/Amsterdam titled Project meeting, without participants.”
  • “Change the end of that appointment to 14:45; keep the start time.”

Check access and results

Specify date, time zone, and any participants. An appointment with participants can send invitations or updates. Changes retain fields you do not modify. Edit the description of an online meeting in Outlook itself to keep the meeting link. The integration does not offer delete action.

The integration works within your own Microsoft access. Check important changes in Microsoft itself. If you no longer want to use the connection, turn it off in Preferences → Tools → Connections. Previously saved items remain.
