Microsoft Teams

With Microsoft Teams, you can read and search supported Teams chats. With the write action enabled by the administrator, you can find teams and channels and post text messages in a chosen channel.

Requirements and enabling

Your organization must have made the integration available and your Microsoft work account must have access to the relevant data. Choose an available AI model that can use tools; OpenAI is not mandatory.

Open profile → Preferences → Tools → Connections, enable Microsoft Teams, and complete the Microsoft sign-in if necessary. Follow the full steps in Enabling Microsoft integrations. Your choice also applies to new chats and other devices.

Available features

CapabilityCondition and operation
ReadingSearch supported chats, read messages, and request chat members.
PostingFind teams and channels and post text in a chosen channel; only with admin right Posting.

The administrator determines the write rights. You use the same personal integration toggle for reading and allowed write actions. Writing only works when the environment is technically enabled for it.

Examples

  • “Search my Teams chats for messages about the project meeting.”
  • “Which Teams channels can I use?”
  • “Post in team Project team, channel General: The meeting starts tomorrow at 10:00.”

Check access and results

Explicitly name team, channel, and message text. The post is made on behalf of your signed-in Microsoft account and is visible to participants in that channel. This write right does not offer private chat sending, file upload, or editing/deleting existing posts.

The integration works within your own Microsoft access. Check important changes in Microsoft itself. If you no longer want to use the connection, turn it off in Preferences → Tools → Connections. Previously saved items remain.
