Masking names in chats

More choice within PII protection

PII protection in AI-School now also includes settings for first and last names. This expansion was added at the request of school boards that wanted more choice in how names are handled in chats.
You can choose to mask names. AI-School will then show only the initials to the AI. For a first and last name, for example, Alex Jansen is converted to A.J. You can also choose to block names. A chat message containing a recognized name will then not be processed.
The default setting remains that first and last names are allowed through. AI-School processes personal data securely and in accordance with the GDPR. The new options allow administrators to align PII protection even more closely with their own privacy agreements.
For each category, you can specify how AI-School handles recognized personal data: allow through, mask, anonymize, or block.
This allows schools to stay in control of privacy while teachers and students can continue using AI-School in a way that suits their educational practice.
