AI-School has a new look. The whole app has a calmer style, with the menu on the left and the prompt field clearly highlighted on the dashboard. This means you can get started right away with a question or task.
Looking for something you created earlier? Use the search field in the top right or press Ctrl+K. You can find chats, assistants, workflows, images and files. Teachers can also find their lessons here. Open a lesson to start a chat right away; a file opens immediately.
Buttons below the prompt field help you get started quickly. The ones you see depend on your role and on what your school has enabled. Teachers can use Create a lesson with AI to describe what they want to cover and get help putting a lesson together. Other staff members see Create a document and Create a transcript; the latter takes you straight to the transcription page. Teachers and students can use Create a presentation to set up the prompt field for a presentation.
There are also buttons for Create an assistant with AI and Edit image. To create an assistant, start with a short idea and then adjust the result. Students see this button if their school allows it. To edit an image, choose an image and describe what you want to change.
The Knowledge Base now has its own icon in the left-hand menu. It contains groups for AI-School, Personal, your school and the school board. AI-School includes videos, courses, news and updates, among other things; under Personal, you’ll find your overview and My notes. The Knowledge Base remembers where you left off, even if you continue on another device. Prefer using the menu at the top? Go to Preferences → Navigation and choose At the top in the toolbar.
This is a first step. We’re continuing to work on home screens that better suit what you do as a staff member, teacher or student.
