New OpenAI Models in AI-School
Meet Luna, Terra and Sol (GPT-5.6) for your teaching practice

A great update is ready for you in AI-School! We have added the latest generation of OpenAI models to our platform: the GPT-5.6 series. These powerful models were not developed by AI-School itself, but integrated directly by us so that you and your students can start using them immediately in the classroom.
The new models are divided into three levels, which you can easily remember by considering the size of celestial bodies:
- Luna (moon): The smallest and fastest model. Ideal for quick, everyday questions and simple programming assistance for students.
- Terra (Earth): Our new default choice. This powerful model delivers performance comparable to the previous top model, GPT-5.5, but works much more efficiently. It is particularly well suited to designing complex assignments and generating detailed lesson materials.
- Sol (sun): The largest and most advanced model. This top model is ideally suited to highly complex, demanding reasoning and in-depth analyses.
To keep things clear, we have set GPT-5.6 Terra as the default for everyday use. This gives you excellent quality and reasoning power right away, without requiring you to change any settings yourself. Administrators can decide in the administration environment which specific models are made available for each target group or subject area.
