AI Content Detection

The AI Content Detection tool (detect_ai) analyzes texts to determine if they may have been generated by AI. This is useful for assessing the authenticity of content.

How It Works

The tool analyzes the writing style, structure, and patterns of a text to assess whether it was written by a human or an AI model. The analysis uses Copyleaks AI detection technology.

Usage Examples

  • "Check if this text was written by AI: [text]"
  • "Analyze this assignment for AI usage"
  • "Is this article authentic or AI-generated?"

When you start this tool directly from the home screen, the question is already placed in the input field:

Check whether the text below may have been written by AI.

Text:

Paste the text to check under Text:. Keep the question and pasted text clearly separated, so the AI knows which part is the instruction and which part should be analyzed.

Copyleaks Integration

AI detection uses Copyleaks, which offers:

  • More than 99% accuracy in detection
  • Support for 30+ languages
  • Detection of content from various AI models
  • Very low false positive rate (0.2%)

Features

Advanced Detection

  • Recognition of mixed AI and human content
  • Detection of paraphrased AI text
  • Adjustable sensitivity levels
  • Source code analysis for AI-generated code

Use Cases

For Teachers

  • Check assignments for AI use
  • Ensure academic integrity
  • Identify mixed use of AI and own work

For Students

  • Learn the difference between AI and human content
  • Develop awareness about AI use

Tips for Use

  • Check texts of sufficient length for accurate results
  • Consider context when interpreting results
  • Use insights for educational purposes, not just for control

Limitations

  • Very short texts give less reliable results
  • The tool gives a probability, not absolute certainty
  • Heavily edited AI texts may be harder to detect
